Although she grew up primarily in Newton, MA, Faith spent her eight childhood years in Nashville, TN. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the College of Wooster in Ohio, then served as a program director for the Hartford, CT, YWCA. After earning her master of divinity degree from Harvard Divinity School, she was ordained and began her ministerial career in Des Moines.
Before coming to Plymouth more than 20 years ago, she was a campus minister at Drake and an associate pastor at First Christian Church. Faith’s post-graduate study includes work as a Charles E. Merrill Fellow at Harvard and in the doctoral program at United Theological School. At Plymouth, Faith is in charge of the congregation’s outreach.
Faith is married to Mark Haverland, a United Methodist minister. They have an adult daughter, Kate, and live near Saylorville Lake. They love nature and the outdoors.
