Jeanette grew up in South Dakota as part of a farm family near Brookings. She received a bachelor's degree from South Dakota State University and taught high school in eastern South Dakota for three years. During high school, throughout college, and while teaching high school, Jeanette wore a number of leadership hats in her small home congregation in Brookings, including church musician, church council member and newsletter editor. Amid this work, she received a call to ministry and enrolled in Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California. While attending PSR, Jeanette served two years as minister-in-training at First Congregational Church of San Rafael, California. Jeanette finished her Master of Divinity (MDiv) coursework in December 2008 and graduated in May 2009.On June 1, 2009, Jeanette joined the Plymouth staff. She is one of two associate ministers called to Plymouth to participate in their Transition into Ministry (TIM) program, which is funded by the Lilly Endowment. Jeanette will serve at Plymouth through August 2011.
