MOMS AND MOPPETS
Moms and Moppets provides an opportunity for mothers of young children to gather on a regular basis for fellowship, education and support, while at the same time offering a separate peer social group for their children.

For specific details on Moms and Moppets happenings contact Plymouth member Molly Hagkull at 515.279.0398.

Moms and Moppets offers you two ways to be involved:
  • Thursday Morning Monthly Meetings: September through May, we meet the third Thursday of each month, 9:15 a.m. to11:30 a.m. in the Burling Room. On-site child care is offered with nursing or reticent children welcome to attend with their moms. Meetings consist of social time as well as periodic speakers on topics interesting to women and moms. Additional evening activities are sometimes planned.
  • Monthly Evening Fellowship Activities:  During the program year, September through May, we meet at various locations for fellowship activities.  See schedule below for dates and times.

WISE: WOMEN IN SPIRITUAL EXPLORATION
All women are invited to meet for the purpose of spiritual growth every Thursday morning in the Burling Room from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. Join us as we put into practice the WISE statement of purpose: To focus on and grow through the experience of Our Spirit, in a community of love, friendship and spiritual intimacy. To support, nurture and exercise Our Spirit through meditation, prayer, study, work and play…and by being together. For more information, contact Marta Hawkins, secretary for Center for Spiritual Growth, at 515.255.3149, or mhawkins@plymouthchurch.com

PLYMOUTH WOMEN ADVENTURE GROUPS
Adventure groups are comprised of eight women who commit for one year to meet together two times a season (autumn, winter, spring and summer) to experience safe, liberating adventures to enhance the mind, body, and spirit.  In addition to enriching their lives and friendships with fellow adventurers, women will engage in acts of kindness related to their adventures as tangible expressions of their energy, enthusiasm and gratitude.  Goals of participation are to cultivate friendships with other Plymouth women who are eager to learn, love and grow; experience adventures that keep the spirit of wonder and learning alive; discover acts of kindness related to the adventure that enhance the adventure itself and remind us that opportunities for spreading God's grace surround us all the time.

The next registration period will be in August 2009.  For questions, contact Plymouth member Laura Higgins at 515.229.7062 or email plymouthwomen@plymouthchurch.com

ADDITIONAL CHURCH STUDY AND FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY
Many women find fellowship and spiritual fulfillment by attending this ongoing study class.  The weekly bible study, which is open to all Plymouth members, is led by Matt Mardis-LeCroy, Minister of Spiritual Growth.  It provides an opportunity to enrich the experience of Sunday worship by going deeper with the texts for the week.  The group will continue to study Seasons of the Spirit, which follows the lectionary.  Everyone is welcome and no preparation is required.  The group meets in the Inspiration Lounge in the Center for Spiritual Growth, every Wednesday, 9:30 - 11 am.
