Since 1954 Plymouth Nursery School (PNS) has been given the privilege and responsibility of guiding children through a learning experience. Through this experience, children anticipate, discover, wonder, appreciate and grow. It is the goal of the professional staff to create an environment that adapts to individual differences and needs. PNS strives to aid each child in becoming all that he or she can be and in realizing talents, abilities and creativity to feel good about him/her self. Because we value education and children, Plymouth Church and the Board of Christian Education host Plymouth Nursery School. PNS is an independently run, non-profit organization with its own governing body. Plymouth Nursery School is an equal opportunity provider.
PNS OFFERS YOUR CHILD....
- a non-profit, non-discriminating state-licensed program for 2 to 5 year olds
- a social atmosphere with a thoughtfully planned curriculum that provides for all areas of a child’s development: physical, emotional, social and cognitive
- a full-sized, equipped gym and a fenced outdoor playground
- process-oriented art and interactive music and movement
- literature-based activities
- field trips and resource people
- a hands-on experience in learning
Since this is a "cooperative" nursery school, all parents will have the opportunity to help in the classroom several times during the school year. This gives parents an active and informed role in their child’s early education. PNS values this partnership between school and parents.

CLASSES
Plymouth Nursery School offers the following classes:
Playtime for Two’s
One morning a week
Twelve children per class
Monday through Friday
9:30 a.m. - 11:35 a.m.
Every child develops and grows at her/his own pace. This program provides a warm, loving, secure environment for each child to: socialize with peers, explore toys and sensory centers, and create masterpieces using many types of materials, all at the child’s own pace.
Our morning includes time for sand and play-dough, exploring all the various centers, running, climbing and sliding. We enjoy a glass of milk with our snack. We love to sing and do finger plays, too. Playtime for Two’s is designed with your toddler in mind!
