Plymouth Cuba Delegation 2025 Trip

The Cuba Partnership Team (CPT) is organizing another delegation to travel to Cuba, learn about the history and contemporary life there, and spend time with the people of our partner church, Ebenezer Baptist Church, in Marianao, Havana, Cuba. Tentative dates are January 28 – February 6, 2025.

If you’re interested in joining this delegation, please contact Esther Burgett (esburgett7@gmail.com) or Emily Chafa (emilychafa@msn.com), CPT co-chairs.

Plans are underway for a 10 day trip beginning on Tuesday, January 28 and returning home on Thursday, February 8, 2025. Details are still in the works, but generally, most of the time will be spent in Havana, with day trips learning about Cuba and its people. We’ll spend substantial time and talent with our partner church friends. It is a fairly inexpensive, all-inclusive trip. Plus, an opportunity to spend time in the warm sunshine in the dead of Iowa winter! Per-person, early cost estimate is between $2,500 to $3,000, including airfare, most meals, and overnight accommodations at the MLK Center.

This will be the sixth group of Plymouth travelers to Cuba since 2012. The itineraries are planned as religious, educational and cultural exchanges – not a “working” mission trip. If you are interested in being part of the delegation, you should begin now to secure or renew your passport, which must have an expiration date no earlier than September of 2025. Visas for travel to Cuba and flights will be arranged for the whole group.
