  5. About 3 months prior to your wedding, you will be contacted about the prenuptial pastoral consultations.

Pastoral services

A Plymouth pastor will be involved in all weddings in the church, as an officiant, through prenuptial pastoral consultations, or both. The Plymouth minister leads couples through marriage preparation sessions, when the partners have an opportunity to consider the meaning of marriage, examine personal expectations, ask questions, and share in wedding service planning.

We try to accommodate requests for other ministers to participate in wedding services at Plymouth Church. We highly encourage the involvement of a Plymouth pastor in your ceremony, but we are open to exploring your unique needs. Any non-Plymouth pastors will require approval from the Plymouth pastoral staff, including a consultation with the co-officiant.
