Not Your Mummy’s Halloween Concert
Friday, Oct. 24, dinner at 5 p.m. and concert at 6 p.m.
Plymouth presents “Not Your Mummy’s Halloween Concert,” beginning at 5 p.m. with a free community dinner in Waveland Hall followed by the concert in the Sanctuary at 6 p.m. Join us (with or without a costume) and bring a friend for a night of spooky classics and pop Halloween favorites, with fun for the whole family. In addition, we’ll enjoy fun games, prizes, a costume contest parade, and more surprises! Costumes are not required but encouraged.

Saturday, Nov. 1 at 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m.
Saturday Night Worship Service
A newly envisioned All-Saints Day gathering is coming to Plymouth’s Saturday Night service on Nov. 1. The evening begins with the Potluck supper followed by a service that will incorporate activities inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).Sunday 9 a.m. Worship Service

Chancel Choir and Instrumentalists will present John Rutter’s “Requiem” for All Saints. “Requiem” primarily follows the traditional requiem format, with two additional scripture-based movements. Rutter’s work has strong roots in rich harmonies strong, memorable melodies. He's known for blending fine-art and popular musical styles, creating pieces that are both sophisticated and enjoyable for a wide range of listeners. There will be Communion offered in worship.

Sounds of the Season: Holiday Concerts & Events
The Carols of John Rutter
Friday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m.
Experience a magical presentation of music by Plymouth Chancel Choir and orchestra with the carol king himself, John Rutter! Join us for a spectacular presentation of these beloved Christmas carols. With stunning orchestral and organ accompaniments, this is your chance to revel in the timeless beauty of some of the most cherished holiday melodies with fresh and exciting orchestral colors and arrangements. Handbells for the Holiday
Sunday, Dec. 7 at 3:30 p.m.
Ring in the season with a concert of music presented by ringers of all ages on handbells and chimes. Plymouth’s Children’s Handchime Choir, Youth Handbells, Plymouth Bells, and Des Moines Concert Handbells join together to present a program of music sure to jingle, tinkle, clang, and resound as we celebrate the Sounds of the Season. The concert is followed by a soup supper and carol sing sponsored by the Plymouth Chancel Choir.
Plymouth Soup Supper & Carol Sing
Sunday, Dec. 7, dinner at 5 p.m. and caroling at 6 p.m.
Join us on Sunday, December 7, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. for the annual Plymouth Church Soup Supper, sponsored by the Chancel Choir. Dozens of soups along with breads, child-friend dishes, and other goodies will be available to enjoy! Following supper, around 5:45 p.m., we will move to the sanctuary to sing Christmas Carols with the organ – by request! Enjoy this family-friendly (and indoor) way to connect more deeply with the season by singing your Christmas favorites. We suggest a $5 minimum donation per attendee for the supper. Funds raised through attendee donations will support the Chancel Choir’s Choral Scholarship Fund.
Lessons & Carols
Sunday, Dec. 14 at 9 and 11 a.m.
Worship services take on a special significance as Plymouth choirs and instrumentalists lead the congregation in lessons and carols, telling the story of Christ’s birth. Plymouth’s K-12 choirs will lead worship at 9 a.m. and then Plymouth’s Chancel Choir will lead worship at 11 a.m.
“Bells of Winter” with the Des Moines Concert Handbells
Saturday, Dec. 20 at 3 p.m.
Des Moines’ premiere handbell ensemble, Des Moines Concert Handbells, presents an afternoon of Christmas and seasonal music that will brighten your spirits and reinvigorate your holiday cheer. Old favorites and a few new tunes are on the program, with maybe a surprise or two in store! This concert is free to all; donations will be accepted.
Christmas Pops Concert
Sunday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m.
Get ready for a festive celebration like no other! Join us for an unforgettable evening where the joyful sounds of brass, vocal soloists, and the rich tones of organist Sohee Lee fill the air with holiday favorites, lively Christmas pop tunes, and beloved carols, all performed in a unique and engaging collage concert format.
