Red Card Distribution Project

Our Peace and Justice Committee is committed to raising awareness of injustice and informing people of their rights. Red cards tell our immigrant community what their rights are under our constitution. The Peace and Justice Committee has red cards with English/Spanish and English/Arabic instructions on them.

The Red cards are being distributed to organizations working with immigrants in our area, to churches and mosques with large numbers of Spanish or Arabic speaking Congregations, to public libraries, and to groups doing “Know Your Rights” programs. Many of our immigrants fear that they can not leave their homes to go to work, school, church, or even to buy groceries. This fear can also apply to those living here legally.
